Count down to tax year end
As we move towards the end of this tax year we have an ideal opportunity to do the things we have been meaning to do all tax year, but never quite managed.
Almost everyone plans for Hogmanay on 31st December (New Year’s Eve for readers south of the border), but have you ever planned for 5th April (the last day of the tax year)?
After the 5th April any unused pension annual allowance and any unused annual ISA allowance are lost forever.
Both the pension annual allowance and the lifetime allowance are being reduced from 6th April 2014, so prudent financial planning is essential.
To be sure not to miss any of the deadlines (which are always in advance of the tax year end) it is best to plan in advance. Act now while there is still time to avoid disappointment.

Whether investing in ISAs, pensions or as part of any other long term strategy; it is crucial to take independent financial advice. Making the wrong decisions with pensions and investments can cost a fortune to put right. Ensure to take expert advice before making any decisions.
Farrell Financial Planning offer whole of market independent financial advice on pensions, investments, ISAs and much more. Our offices are based in the Scottish city of Glasgow, but we advise across the UK.
Like all investments ISAs may not be suitable for all investors and their value can fluctuate and go down, so you may get back less than you paid in.
A pension is a long term investment. The fund value can fluctuate and go down. All information is based on Farrell Financial Planning’s understanding of UK law & HMRC practice in the UK. Tax and legislation are subject to change.
