Bank of England hints at future interest rate rise – but holds rates at 0.25%
The Bank of England has once again kept UK interest rates at a record low of 0.25%. Interest rates have been at this level since August 2016.
The Bank of England’s Monetary Policy Committee (MPC), who set interest rates, voted 7 – 2 to leave interest rates unchanged at 0.25%.
However, the Bank of England also warned that interest rates could rise if inflation continued to grow.
