Budget 2017 – a date for your diary
Chancellor Philip Hammond will deliver his budget to parliament on Wednesday 8th March 2017.
The budget would normally set out the government’s financial plan of action for the next few years. However, this will not be the only budget the chancellor makes this year. He plans to give a second budget in the autumn of 2017.
The 2014 budget announced dramatic changes to pension legislation, which had serious consequences for people approaching retirement. There have been several rumours about the 2017 budget, but there will be no real certainty until the announcement is made.
As always Farrell Financial Planning will provide updates on what effect the budget will have on pensions, investments, inheritance tax and much more.
