UK inflation rate falls to 0.5% in December 2014
The Consumer Prices Index (CPI) measure of inflation fell to 0.5% in December, according to the Office for National Statistics.
The Retail Prices Index (RPI) fell to 1.6% in December from 2% in November 2014.
Recent oil and petroleum price reductions are reported to have fuelled this reduction.
